“Miss, may boyfriend ka na ba? Kung wala pa, pwede ba akong magsubmit ng resume?”
The Chess Club: A multi-directional webcomic
F. Catherine C. Poblete
From the results of the previous semester’s research, the creative project produced was the Chess Club, a multi-directional webcomic about a group of super-powered highschool students who keep their area’s supernatural element in check. This particular storyline focuses on how the club activities have estranged one club member, Hawkins McTavish, from her best friend, Tyler Blitz. The original concept and script was written by Bea Poblete and adapted to the webcomic medium by Cathy Poblete.
For the promotional campaign for the webcomic, posters and flyers are to be displayed or distributed in comics stores. However, the bulk of promotions will be done online, starting with an exclusive comic blogger preview of the comic, the release of bonus illustrations and behind-the-scenes material, and culminating with the launch of the Mystery Varsity League, the official fan community of the Chess Club.
[Here’s a short summary of my thesis a.k.a. roughly ten months of blood sweat and tears. More details to follow. You know, once my brain gets back online]

Sometimes I imagine that my thesis is a baby. Then I stop because it is a horrible analogy.
